Where can I search for people for free? I asked this question awhile ago and it was removed for some reason. I am looking for the websites thatgive you matches of possible relatives names for free too.

It’s not free, but there’s ancestry.com – you might be able to get a free trial membership with them? Worth an ask.
For something a little more ‘freestyle’ you might do searches based on the surnames you have by going to a place like
http://www.411.ca/ or the US version here: http://411.info/ and doing your own searches.
Is there anyone in your family that might have already compiled some research materials? Since you always search from the present backwards in time, chances are you will find living relatives that way.

I assume you are searching for ancestors, but if you mean living people, try::

Another site that lists living people, their city and state as well as a list of possible relatives is

However, for details like phone no., email, DOB, etc., I believe there is a fee.
Ancestry does have some free information so it is worth a try.

Gen Circles.com
Also do a search for Free genealogy research data bases.
There are many.
Friendly, if it was about living people someone might have reported it. It is against the rules to post info on living people due to the risk of identity theft. Actually genealogy websites are not any good for finding the living.
The only suggestion I could make for the living are Yahoo People Search or Zabasearch.com.
